THE ALIEN BLAKK's New Album To Be Mixed By GLEN ROBINSON

September 15, 2008

THE ALIEN BLAKK, the band led by guitarist/producer Joshua Craig, has tapped producer Glen Robinson (VOIVOD, ANNIHILATOR) to mix its sophomore album, tentatively due in early 2009.

Commented Craig, "Glen was the only person I wanted to work on the mix of the new disc. The music is so eclectic with all undertones being bizarrely low and heavily emotional with the overtones having such a very unique blend of harmonic creativity, I had to find the right person. I have been writing some of this music for over three years and have had very understanding conversations with Glen about approach and mix technique and we are simpatico on all levels, so the mix will show where we have been talking about in spirit with a positive sonic outcome, for sure."

The drums on the new THE ALIEN BLAKK CD were tracked by Kevin Talley (DAATH, ex-CHIMAIRA, THE RED CHORD) while the bass was handled by David Ellefson (MEGADETH, F5).

THE ALIEN BLAKK sophomore album tentative track listing:

01. The Quickening
02. Erased
03. In Memory
04. I Tried You
05. Jigsaw
06. Runnin' Down A Dream (TOM PETTY cover)
07. From Under The Ground
08. Hate Me

The upcoming THE ALIEN BLAKK live shows will not include Ellefson or Talley but will feature a bassist who teaches at Berklee College Of Music and a "gypsy/thrash" drummer.
